After Vikas Bahl was accused of grave sexual misconduct by one of his former employees, Kangana Ranaut jumped on the bandwagon and shared her own experience with him. She said that he would get a little too close for comfort, at times.
“I often told him off. He was scared of me but still every time we met socially greeted and hugged each other, he’d bury his face in my neck and hold me really tight and breathe in the smell of my hair. It took me great amount of strength and effort to pull myself out of his embrace,” the actress said, adding that she “could tell something is wrong with him”.
Now, Vikas’s ex-wife Richa Dubey has hit out at Kangana and accused her of misusing the #MeToo movement. “I want to ask all the women – if a man makes you uncomfortable and touches you inappropriately, would you have a good friendship with that man?” she wrote on Twitter.
Richa said that she was baffled that Kangana giggled and went “wining and dining” with Vikas, after he allegedly behaved inappropriately with her. “I read the several messages between you and Vikas which were extremely friendly till now. With this media opportunity, everything changed?” she questioned.
According to Richa, a “strong, fearless, gutsy person” like Kangana could have easily told Vikas off if she had a problem with his behaviour. “The loopholes are endless… It’s just pure slander! Please stop this nuisance. It’s so difficult for women to come out and speak about the harassment and abuse we go through. Don’t make it disrespectful. This media game defeats the entire purpose of truth coming out,” she wrote.
Kangana had also attacked Hrithik Roshan in a recent interview and said, “People who keep their wives as trophies and keep young girls as their mistresses should also be punished.” She confirmed that she was talking about Hrithik and said that he should be boycotted as well.
Richa slammed Kangana for her comments and said that having an affair with a married man was “a woman’s prerogative”. “Who are you to call anyone trophy wives? They are hardworking career women,” she said adding that enough was enough. “Stop using Vikas for your own vendetta. It is not cool. The world can see through it,” she wrote.
Taking on the media for “irresponsibly reporting”, Richa asked, “What authenticity does she have which Vikas doesn’t?” She said that anyone with a celebrity status could say anything, and the media was “only interested in printing gossip as it sells”, without even checking the other side of the story.
Richa said that she was tired of the “dirty drama” and asked the media to refrain from calling him “disgraced and what not” and at least give him a chance to prove himself innocent.

Meanwhile, Kangana hit out at Richa and told a leading channel, “Another ex-wife for her ex-husband’s rescue. My only question is, why do they leave their holier-than-thou husbands in the first place? Stop this bullshit that we had a friendly divorce, perfectly amicable, and we are a family. You don’t wake up one fine morning and divorce a godly man, so please help us secure our work environment and make sure these men don’t spoil more lives.”
