Poll strategist Prashant Kishor is likely to join Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) today.

According to sources, Kishor will join the party in its state executive meeting today. The meeting will be held at party chief’s house in Patna to chalk out strategy, mainly seat-sharing in NDA, for upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party is also likely to offer him a ticket to contest Lok Sabha election in 2019.

Prashant Kishor, known for his effective work for Nitish Kumar in last Assembly election and Narendra Modi in 2014 Lok Sabha election, had on September 10 announced his retirement from election campaigning for political parties.

“[For] two years, I have been wanting to get out of this domain. It could have been post the Uttar Pradesh poll results, but the failure put the decision on hold. In 2019, you will not see PK campaigning for any party or individual,” he had said.

When asked about his future plans, he had said, “I will do something that connects me to the grassroots. I am going to either Gujarat or Bihar.”
